Hi, I've found some play in the rear wheel of my dautghters NRG Purejet MY2003. I've changed bearings in the gearbox and also changed the gearbox cover. See attached image. Now, I'm wondering if the shaft/axle can be worn causing the play. I think it's strange if it is so, the cover is aluminium and the axle is steel and aluminium shouldn't "eat" steel, or? Any ideas?
It is possible its the shaft I have known a plastic bush to wear a piece of steel You would think the softer part would wear first, but not always so Maybe you can get the size of the shaft from the local dealer and then compare with a micrometer
