    Piaggio NRG Power DD
Hi, Ive got a piaggio nrg power dd 2008. ALL STANDARD apart from a derestriction. Ive got a problem were it wont start on its own (no throttle added by me) and will not idle without cutting out. I have a 62 main jet in there and a 32 pilot. the JETS ARE SPOT ON CLEAR. and i fitted a new auto choke. Its got a perfect spark and plenty of fuel. the needle position in the carb is 3 notches up from the bottom (factory setting). Also when i drive at full throttle its perfect. When i free wheel down a hill with the engine on ofc. It goes so silent that it sounds like the engine isnt on, But i pull the throttle back and she goes, No problem. IF i stop it dies. The idle screw is screwed in max. the air/fuel screw is factory setting. Its had a new auto choke, belt, rollers, ht lead and cap, Spark plug. and a new battery. I dont want to spend a lot of money on parts and have it still not working. Could it be the vacuum lines ?? Any help please. Thankyou

If the idle screw is all the way in it needs a bigger main jet. But dont just chuck any size jet in there and hope it works. Buy a jet pack and work your up one at a time until it does what it is supposed to. Sounds like it won't need to go up much but who knows............
Have you checked the colour of the spark plug lately? Probably find it's a bit on the white side, indicating a lean running state.

If it stock then it needs the stock jets. Having the screws at the factory settings will just make it worse if the jet isn't right
