Hi, basically i bought a Piaggio Nrg Power 2005, and it died, so i put a polini 70cc kit on, and it still would't start, (not enough fuel getting through standard carb, and it was clogged up), so i bought a TNT 21mm racing carb, and now it only starts when i put a drill to the flywheel, and when it runs, it only ticks over at 3000 revvs or not at all. I would be delighted if someone could help, i've been off my ped for nearly 2 months! Thanks
Re: Piaggio Nrg Power won't tick over under 3000rpm, or dies Does it move when you pull the revs back?
Re: Piaggio Nrg Power won't tick over under 3000rpm, or dies well that narrows it down what jet do you have in the carb for main and do you have a sizable idle jet where is the needle set ? what air filter do you have on it ? is your reedblock ok have you checked your crank seals to see if they are leaking? and as jack says does it move if u drive it or does it just bog ?
Re: Piaggio Nrg Power won't tick over under 3000rpm, or dies Hi, yes it runs and rides fine, it just doesn't tick over under 3000rpm, i have a 105 main jet, i have a k+n air filter, brand new reed block, and i think the crank seals are fine, as for the idle (pilot) jet, i took it out to swap it with my old one, and the new one is about an inch long, compared to the old one which is 10mm. Thanks
Re: Piaggio Nrg Power won't tick over under 3000rpm, or dies Needle settings, air mixture also is there a vaccum near where your reed blocks sit if there is make sure its covered up that made my tickover calm down abit
Re: Piaggio Nrg Power won't tick over under 3000rpm, or dies Yes, we've played about with the mixture, so that it runs smoothly, and if you ajust the needle it dies or it revvs at over 3000, and the vaccum is blocked, i assumed the pilot jet would sort it, but i can't seem to find a smaller racing one! Thanks
