I got a piaggio nrg power 2012 it is an aircooled bike which for its age is in a very good condicion and only has about 3800 km. I recently had a problem where the bike lost its power completely. Since i already worked on countless scooters ive never seen this before but after about 2 weeks of the scooter sitting i went for a little ride and first it was going like normal and only after a few kilometers after stopping and giving it gas again the scooter was not giving enough power to even engage the clutch. The scooter didnt go past 5000 rpms and just had no power so i had to push it home 4 kilometers through a forest in the middle of a night without a phone or a flashlight. When i got home i immediatly suspected the electricity as the scooter was somehow unlimited and the rpms went way up high to 12k with the entierty of it stock. I checked the plug, it was nice and dry coffe brown as it should be, went to the cdi and swapped it and still no luck. Ive then took it in my workshop and had spent so much time in it, so much that this scooter has left me with a few braincells but those brainscells still kept me working and after changing out the cdi, magnet, stator, sparkplug, cylinder, piston, piston rings, carburetor, cleaned the filkters, changed the petcock and it still wouldnt run right! But only when i was putting the stock cylinder and the piston in and when i boltet everything down i started it and found it to be pretty loud but it was working. It was responsive and had power. I was confused to what exactly happened but i noticed that the SAS or the secondary air system on the scooter was not connected to the exhaust hose with which the exhaust sucks air through so thr air mixes with the carbon and all that stuff so that the gasses are more enviromentally friendly when it comes out of the pipe. I even went for a ride and the scooter was just like before only a lot louder. I than started looking into the SAS and found zero issues. Ive checked the entire system, the filters, the hoses, the valves it all looked perfect and when i sucked air through it it was flowing freely but when i blowed air through it wouldnt let me as it should. Ive contacted many local mechanics that work on scooter and most told me to change the SAS but since i have tried 2 SASes on my scooter and none worked so there must be an exhaust problem, right? Well i took it off, swapped it for a aftermarket that i had laying around on my other nrg and it solved the issue. But since this is a scooter limited to 25kmh so it can be rode without a license, in slovenia there cant be an aftermarket exhaust on it. I wanna know if anybody here had a similar experience and somehow fixed the issue without swapping the exhaust? here a video of the issue (i coudlnt send a video here) https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/qit9...ey=1nu2wfwjhotmajor2p7q27358&st=lgntc35q&dl=0 any resposnes would be apprecieted
