    Hi,

First off I would just like to say thanks to anyone who takes the time to read my post and I really appreciate it !

I have a friend with a Yamaha Aerox with, a PM tuning 70 kit, Endy exhaust and a Malossi Variator

I was wondering how I can make mine that little bit faster than his as I am fed up of getting left behind :/

    I have already got

Malossi Sport 70 kit (cast iron, double piston rings) (not fitted yet)
Malossi Multivariator (white contra spring that came with it and 7.2g rollers)
    Polini Airbox insert
Doppler S2r Reeds (malossi reed petals came with new 70 kit)

Also he is getting his dyno jetted which I am already doing.

But I need help on an exhaust im stuck between a few, here are the ones im considering and which one would give me the best power without making my bike scream:

    Gianelli Reverse
    PM Tuning 360
    Stage 6 Pro Replica
    Lazer X Pro

If you know of a better one then please let me know :)

and i would like my bike to not rev too much as i would like to keep reliability, which is why i went for the cast iron double ring 70 kit hoping to keep the reliability.

    Thanks everyone for looking :)

The Gianelli Reverse is an excellent pipe, and will work very well with your malossi 70 kit ;)

I would suggest a good selection of rollers, because the 7.2 gram rollers will be far too heavy for that set up...

The only other thing i would recommend is a 21mm carb, then youll be really flying!!!

So if i got a reverse and then a 21 mm carb and maybe even a malossi torque driver ? I have been told to get one of these aswell, then it will over take the aerox or not ? im not too fussed about flying past him, would just like to keep up. Also with the reverse on, how revvy would my bike be ?

Thanks so much for the help :)

Also would a 19mm carb be okay or will i get more power with a 21mm ? and i get about 50 miles to a tank (£5) how many miles would i get after a 21 or 19 mm carb ?

    Thanks :)

right tuning and fuel economy in the same sentence just no....
if you are tuning fuel economy should be the last of your worries, as tuning is the opposite of economical lol
21mm will rev more than a 19 so top end will be better but at the cost of some torque.
p.s. no one call tell you how revvy your bike will be.
can't say if your going to be faster or not but your exhaust is much better than his and your 70kit better quality.. but it's practically the same setup so you should be on par with the aerox if not a tiny bit faster...
    hope that helps bruv

the malossi cast iron kit isnt really a mega revvy kit, so youll be ok :good:

if you want low revs and excellent fuel economy buy a 4 stroke :yahoo:

with your current set up a 19mm carb would be sufficient, but 21mm carbs are everywhere and more readily available cheaply....i ran a very similar set up to yours 2 or 3 years ago, with a Runner 125/180 carb which i picked up 2nd hand for £25 from the classified section off a forum ;)

Im so sorry but i have just a few more questions :

Should I get a gear up kit (and primary or secondary?)

Do i need a derestricted inlet manifold ?

Also what do you think of this carb ?

    http://www.pedparts.co.uk/tnt-tuning-race-carb-2543-p.asp

    One last question,

Would i be okay leaving the gear up kit off when i have it dyno jetted and also will i be able to change the rollers without having to rejet after a dyno jet ? It sounds like a stupid question even to myself but i need to make sure :) thanks

question no1 its totally up to you, depends if you prefer quicker acceleration or higher top speed, no2 if you have a restricted manifold then yes, no3 no idea about the carb, my work computer doesnt like that link, no4 a gear up wont affect jetting, and rollers you should be able to change ok, just as long as you dont make a massive change in roller weight :)

Im not sure if i have a restricted manifold, how will i know if it is restrictesd :/ can i get a primary and secondary for acceleration and top end if not which would you advise i went for ? And its just a TNT 21mm carb. Im still not sure on which size carb to go for i figure if my mate has a 21 and his is quite quick then i will get a 21mm.

Thanks so much for all the help and advice capri dave !! I really appreciate it !!!! its people like you that make forums like this such a nice place !!!

you will tell if its restricted by taking it off and looking if its a fullsize opening one, or if its got a tiny hole you cant even fit your little finger through lol...

primary and secondary gear ups both do the same thing, they make the gearing of your scooter taller, meaning you will acheive a higher top speed, (and on a sport 70 set up) at the expense of acceleration....so who ever said primary gear ups improve top end and secondary gear ups improve acceleration is talking rubbish :confused:cratch:

Ive got a Gilera Runner with a Malossi Sport 70 kit and im using a stage 6 pro rep pipe which is powerful enough. If i was you i would get a straight inlet manifold, 21mm carb and an air filter. However his kit is a single ring so will be more powerful but less reliable so you still might not keep up to be fair.
