Hi there, After 1 month on being on the road on a 50cc, I give up and want throw some money at it until it goes faster My commute is only 3 miles long, up hill on way, down hill on way back (200ft elevation) the majority of the road is 40mph with a stretch of 60mph None of it is particularly fun (no matter where I am people are finding the most ...interesting... places to pass me), but the 60mph is the worst. so, as it is a NRG MC3 liquid cooled, I believe it is the 17.5mm dellorto carb? So hopefully that shouldn't need replacing? For the exhaust, the stage6 pro replica (derestricted) from pedparts looks the best compromise between performance and cost (ok I lied I don't JUST want to throw money at it ) Next I am thinking the stage6 pro mk2 70cc cylinder kit (hopefully this isn't too intrusive as to needing a new crank if kept with the restricted CDI?) then a general service of new oil pump and drive belts, treat carb to a repair kit, new gaskets, needle etc and some new rollers and jets. Does any of this sound like it will work? Or am I getting ready for a massive headache? Also is there anyone who has run a similar set up who could comment on jet and runner sizes? (The noob question I know ) I was thinking a runner set of: stage6 19/15.5 6.5g - 9.5g and for Jets a pack of Dellorto 75-98 set although I am unsure of whether it is m6 or m5? Any thoughts would be great! Cheers
Shouldn't need to touch the cdi - but I'm no expert on the NRG. The rest sounds great! Especially the sport pro. great kit. could you stretch to a Yasuni R? I have two set ups with S6 sport pro & yas R. water and air. water goes like blue shit- and the air is looking like it will be the same. Should be M6 jets.
Hey thanks, yes I can stretch to the yasuni, it was a tie between the two, but I'll happily be swayed! What jets and rollers are you running on your liquid cooled? Just as a ballpark so I know which range of boxes to get?
it's difficult to predict what you will need compared to me because i run an ovverange pack from malossi- which tends toward heavier rollers to work right. And i have a gear up kit - which again - moves the goal posts a bit. but if you get a lot of values around 3 to 7 you will find your mix.
