Took crank case cover off yesterday to change rollers.. put it back on.

Went to start using the electric start and all I was getting was a clicking sound.

Tried to take crankcase cover off and the starter gear seemed to have lodged itself into the crankcase cover side.. I had to prise it out/apart with a screwdriver.

Ok so puts it all back together again etc.. now it's turning again, but its making a sound like a drill makes when you get it stuck in metal/wood, it doesn't turn over very fast, almost sounds like its struggling.

What has happened here?? Any ideas?.. this has only happened since I took the cover off and put it back on again.. I've checked everything is lined up and in the right place etc.. it's £15 for a new starter gear, but don't wanna waste money buying this unless I have to.

    2. Are you 100% sure its back as ut should?

Sometimes worth a second head to check with you as you can easily miss things
