Hi, This is my first post but having scoured the internet this is the best place to turn to. I have a Piaggio NRG 50 DT (2007) Until recently it was working fine but i think now due the bikes age problems have started to spring up. Firstly the fuel gage has stopped working correctly with it only displaying 4 bars on a full tank it will not go past this but will always go down from them, the only thing i can think of that may have caused this was somebody who mixed my petrol with part oil after the bike ran out of oil and over heated. The second problem with the display is that my total miles are stuck on 99999 however the trip meter still works and clocks miles fine. This problem has only just arised and so seems a bit perculiar. Lastly my front forks are continually covered in oil, i know this is down to the seals possibly being perished and have been told this is a fairly easy job to do by yourself to save on garage costs. However am i correct in saying in order to do this i need 2x seals 2x bushes and some front fork oil? Any help would be greatly appreciated Many thanks
Hello, about the electric things maybe the gauges are fucked??? Piaggio nrg has the worst gauges ever made, once water had gone into mine and the oil diplay was on but i had oil.. also about the forks i have never fixed mine but as i have read all the things you list should be it.. but in my opinion i would just get the forks from the 125cc 4 stroke gilera runner they are wayyyyyyy better! as the forks the 50cc nrg has are complete crap. search on youtube for how to videos its your best friend
