im 16 and i dont know alot about bikes so here i go. last month it was raining and it just about started and whilst riding home it would bog down i could only do 20-25. so the next day it started but wouldnt go over 10mph and cut out down the road. today it started and cut out a few seconds after. what could it be? any suggestion will help!
Is there any immobiliser system on it? If so, try get around it and test. Is the bike not starting at all now or still cutting only after a few seconds? If not starting at all check for spark: Take spark plug out, HT Lead, hold ground electrode contact against engine metal and turn engine (starter or kick). If starting and cutting out: Is it a sharp cutout (electrical) or a slow (like no fuel)? Check/clean carb. It will take you 30 mins at a newbie to remove carb and check jets etc. Take a look at If electrical it could possibly be HT/Ignition coil.
