Piaggio medley 2019 flat battery cannot pop the lid to access

Good morning
Stupidly I left the keys in my ignition overnight (luckily it was not stolen off the drive )
Anyway I’ve now got a flat battery and unable to pop seat to access the battery
The bike has no manual key to open the box so I’m now left in a situation of not being able to charge the battery
The lock is not like the old style seat locks so I cannot open it by force (not that I’d want to anyway )
Any ideas if piaggio have a way around this ?
Everything is electronic on these new bikes

 

This is a long shot
Can you get the rear light lens off ?
I know some scoots you have to remove the side panels

 

Spoke to the dealers this morning they said apparently inside the glove box is a lever to manually eject the seat
I’ve had the bike since new and had no idea
Anyway I’ll take a look when none as now on a bus

Great to know it can be opened manually
Why do these vehicle makers make things so hard like to open your seat
