    Hi,

I am trying to fit a Malossi Multivar to a Piaggio but I am a bit confused over the assembly order and the instruction are useless as it seems to only be concerned with a Yamaha Aerox. There were three washers/spacers, one of them is plastic and does not seem to go anywhere. Initially I thought it went over the main bush but it does not fit. Does anyone have any experience with this? I have attached an image numbered for convenience.

    Cheers,
    Tristan

The washers/spacers are for setting the variator at the correct distance from the inside of the case, so that the belt runs in a straight line and not cocked off at an angle, and for spacing (shimming) the fixed plate out.

Thanks for the reply, could you tell me why the plastic spacer has such a large inner dimension?

Spacers for different vehicles, not all are required. It's easier for a manufacturer, for costing purposes, to include a general set that covers most if not all vehicles. Saves them having to ask what bike it is and including them afterwards.

Cool, thanks. I just thought 99% of Piaggio crankcases and transmissions were the same!
