Just fort id let you guys know that piaggio now have a mp3 hybrid (125cc with electric motors) and a mp3 u can drive on a car licence... And im sad to say piaggio are putting 50cc 4T engines in typhoons but still doing 2t for now.. Check the piaggio main website for more details
we need to start learning how to tune 4ts for cheap, then were sorted for life lol. piaggio flopped though 4t typh 50 is a failllll
4T Typhs?? Wot are dey on!!!!! :glare: Looks like in a few years time 2T Typhs will be rare as well..
gilera storm will stay a 2t.... there making piaggio the daily bread scoots and gilera the so say "race class" scoots... hence the zip rs250 is a special edition, they will probably completly scrap the zip 2t befor long (or make it a gilera rs or somthing) 2t engines arnt gooing anywhere dw... even if they do, how many of you buy a new bike yearly/ever? theres millions of scoots about, christ they stopped making 2t 125's SEVEN years ago and there still fairly easy to get hold of, and there were FAR less of them than there are 50's nocking about.
end of the day 4t or not there still producing the base typhoon and you can buy everything needed for a 2t 50-125 engine so itrs not like there goign to dissapear off the face of the earth just means that itll be more effort to get the engine you want in the bike you want?
exactly... for years you can prittymuch buy a typh 50, buy a 125 engine/loom new and build to any spec you so wish (well, bar a few little parts i cant scorce to save my life?!?!?!?!) but ye. 4t typh 125 would be too rear heavy.. the bikes too small for it wihtout using an ac unit from a vespa/zip and then why would they bother if they make both in a 50 and 125? the typh 50 4t is down to econimy and the generally GOOD performing 4t 4v engine that has replaced the peice of shit 2v that they used befor... what id like to know is, do the 100 zip 2v barrels fit the 50 4v engine? ether way who cares... do a check wiht the dvla.. theres literally MILLIONS of typhoons out there... plus the 2t engine will make a comback. all it takes is for this energy saving NONSENCE to fuck off and for people to be skint again.. you can make a 2t ALOT cheaper than you can a 4t.. soon be the case (once again) that the 2t is reborn.... we MIGHT see 2t 125's again in the next 10 years (rumors that the euro 3 emmisions to be lifted under a certian cc as a full power 125 2t STILL produces less hydrocarbons than a hybrid car?!?!?!?!) it will come around again... 4t engines are OLD technology... there old oil circulating dirtboxs.. the problem is a 2t produces the SAME polution from day one as it does the day it dies.. a 4t is REALLY good when new.. once the oil/engines picked up some dirt it soon runs dirty... 2t's will live again.. even if its gas powerd (yes you can run a 2t off lpg and produce pritrtymuch fuck all banned gasses) need to inject the oil at high pressure tho... but ye im getting off the point.. typhs aint going anywhere.. gilera will continue to make the storm (better than a typh really as it has better breaks and bigger wheels) and there will be old scoots in scrapyards LONG after were all dead buy one now, keep it for life.. you will never go wihtout. YOU keep the scene alive by buying the parts.. aslong as you buy the parts thewy will keep making them...
The problem is they still CAN produce 125 2T scooters, they just obviously cant be botherd to make them meet euro 3 standards, theres still 125 2T motorcycles being made like the aprilia and they are just restricted and have smaller carbs etc to meet standards.. So really they could still make 125 runners and typhs if they made them efficient, a fuel injected one wouldnt be a bad idea, would probably meet euro 3 with just injection?
