    Hey all,

I need some help from accross the pond. There aren't many Piaggio
bikes over here in the states, so I need some advice on which parts to
    buy.

First of all, I have an Aprilia SR50 that I'm converting from purejet to
carb. I already have a Tecnigas RS2 pipe. So, I will build a descent
mid-race bike around that. I don't want to exceed 11k RPM.

1.What would the strongest mid-race cylinder be that I could use with that
    pipe and RPM range?

    2. Will the stock Piaggio crank be sufficient for an 11k setup?

    3. Will a 17.5mm Phva carb be sufficient, or should I upgrade to a PHBG
    black 19 or 21mm?

    Thanks Euro dudes!
    Mike

Thanks. I was told that the RS2 has similar specs to the Yasuni R pipe,
and they are the biz for injection bikes. It worked well for injection, but
I am skeptical whether it will work for carb(with back pressure).

If you look on this pipe test then you will see the Technigas RS 70 actually
gave a little more power than the Yasuni R ;)

whether an RS70 is similar to an RS2 which you mention i dont know...

in all honesty a diff engine would be best, but if you dont have that option blankoff the second hole the injection sys leaves and bang a 21 on there... polini iron kit. last forever. may need a new loom. cdi is a must as the stock injection is not only crap for any tunning wont work atall with the carb. doubt it will evedn spark.

done a few conversions but i didnt take any chances. ether changed the engine and loom or just switched out a carb loom/stator plate flywheel that way you just know its all gonna work.. havent playd with them enough to help any mroe than that im afraid pal.

    Thanks guys.

I'm going to buy the Malossi conversion to carb kit. It comes with most
of the neccesities to convert, minus the carb, cylinder head........but includes
direct CDI replacement for the ECU, compressor hole plug, fuel connection
    adapters.

From what I hear the stock Piaggio crank can handle a lot of power, so
I'm just looking for a cylinder kit to match my RS2 pipe.

I think I'm gonna try the MK SP for a fit. Its a little much for the RS2,
but I'd rather be overpowered than underpowered.
