if i get a gear up without a 70cc kit for my zip will it make any difference and wat is the best clutch to buy ????
Stage 6 clutch and as for the gear up kit it's a good question I think it would slow down the acceleration but have a higher top end but It would put a lot of stress on the engine so I wouldn't bother. If I was you I would do the lot at once or just keep it as a standerd 50
ok thanks mate and i just got my zip back from it being fixed but it has lost a lot of power and the man said there is no clips holding the carb on any idear y it has lost so much power
a gear up kit puts less stress on the engine itself although without a 70cc kit there wont be enough torque to pull through it, if you want better acceloration and top speed a aftermarket variator is you'r best bet, suggest polini 9 speed ( next donotlink polini order in 2 weeks) which ill be buying soon and piaggio 50 engines are good for about 65 with a standard gearing, if you'r loosing speed then you want to check everything is as it should be as i found recently tiny things can comprimise epic speed,
Sounds like a air leak make sure everything is connected properly and everything is done up go buy some clips they are cheap and if it's not that then your main jet may be slightly blocked or possibly your air filter needs cleaning have a play about and keep us up to date
