with this new law coming in about mobile phones were if you have only had your licence for less than 2 years you will lose it apparently you cant touch your phone while on your bike even if stopped means you will have to park bike up and step away from it
but what about if you use blue tooth via your sat nav are you on the phone
or your listening to the sat nav for directions will they say you were on your phone ,how can you prove you were not about to make a phone call
with cctv its a very big risk to even scratch your ear
can you use hands free after the 1/3

The law says you cannot hold the phone in your hand.
It's been like that for years, they just haven't enforced it due to lack of manpower.
For a car/van/truck, the phone must be in its own cradle, have voice activation calling, and handsfree operation.
For a bike, it's the same...... nearly.
You cannot realistically put a dedicated cradle on a bike due to the theft issues; similar to a car park ticket.
YES, you can press a button to talk to someone, but with my BT Interfone headset, it answers the phone in 2 rings anyway and comes straight into the headset, over-riding the satnav voice.
Get a phone with voice activated calling is the answer.

Same my intercom answers call after so many rings, just off music/satnav and adjusts volume to phone .

i can cancel the call just tapping the center dial just to hang up. what i do is just not bother flipping on bluetooth that way they cant say i was taking calls etc etc, if the phone rings and vibrates i just leave it till im either home at location then i will check and maybe ringback/text.
