It all began back in college, my friend had a scooter that had no working electrics.

I bought it from him for £70, got it home, wired up the battery properly and presto! Working electrics.

I've successfully seized the engine twice by not running it with enough oil, after this I fitted a 70cc cylinder kit and jets to it.

She's been stolen at least 3 times and on some occasions crashed (while stolen), luckily I'm quite street smart and managed to recover it each time from dodgy areas, so cosmetically, she's a mess and this is where it all story begins..

Here's a rough idea of how tatty she was when I decided to begin to restore her:

so the stickers had to come off

    sanding..

more sanding (in this photo, note the smashed clocks)

I don't know how this happened but I had a hole in the tail fairing, so I fibreglassed it up

    stripped

painted Rover blue (not perfect but it's good enough for now)

I've recently bought & fitted some new clocks (will add pictures later), so they're not smashed any more either.

The only problems I'm finding with this project are parts are a buggar to come across because the bike is from Taiwan and is 10 years old.

She's a good bike though, achieves 55mph on the clocks and is mostly reliable.

    Future plans:
    -Tidy up the fairings
    -Respray
    -Restitch the leather seat
    -Make it go faster

lol, cheers guys. Once it was stolen from me, some chav had a screwdriver against my belly, so I wasn't gonna argue.

I've got a disc lock and a very very thick chain with a massive padlock. Also the steering lock, need a ground achor tbh.

thanks for the compliments, plans continue, today I stripped the carb and gave it a good cleaning, caught some carbon build up in there, also just cleaned most of the engine grease off the casing and oil container (forgot the word, haha).

Dude you would be supprised how cowardly these people are, the chance's of him actually having the guts to stab you with a screwdriver for a poxey scooter is minimal, its all mind games to get you shook up to hand over the keys.
If you'd stuck up for yourself, got in his face and pushed him away then im sure he'd shit himself.

I've had knifes held up to me before for a can of beer, 20p, ciggy or whatever was in my pockets at the time.. Never once have I been stabbed or let them get away with my goods. Get in their face, throw the first punch.. They think they are rock hard with a knife but a knife shows they are indeed a big wet-bag.

Nice project thou, I noticed the little kitten sitting on your bike in the first picture, how old is he/she?

There was 2 of them and they looked drugged off their tits tbh, lol

End of the day, my mum&dad tracked them down in a car, one got away but the other...
he had no teeth by the end of that night

Both of them got sent down for 1+ year each too so not too bad..

I like this saying "knives are like tampons, every pussy needs one".

Thanks, that's Misty, she's about 2 now, she's had some kittens since then

Drugged off their tits lol, an even better excuse to knock em flying, infact you could probably just blow them over if they were spaced out. Oh well its good to hear they got done for it.

I've got a male tabby @ just over 1yrs old. He also loves to chill out on a scooter lol

Edit: That scoot is looking abit tired to me! And is obviously quite easy to pinch, I would persoanally just "tart it up" & sell it to fund a nice Piaggio/Gilera which would be alot more tuneable, parts are piss to get hold of. And lock it all up!

Or fit a exploading divice to your scooter so when it's next stolen, "KABOOOOM" goes the chavvy bastard!

lol, yeah, they love to explore and sniff new things so when I was working on it she was all over it lol.

Yeah it's a doddle to nick, steerling lock doesn't work properly, unplug the ignition and you're away.

But I keep it in the house most of the time now, I'm going to try to restore it and then let my missus use it while I get a different bike

not really an update but I cleaned the carb the other evening which led to my bike not idling properly, fixed that today, also had to get an exhaust stud today as my old one snapped. >_< So I've fixed 2 problems that I've caused, haha

Fixed 2 problems that I caused, one being the exhaust, snapped a bolt, had to get a new one, on the way to getting a new one, exhaust came off, had to get a gasket as well then.
    That's sorted

Another being the fuelling wasn't correct, so I tweaked with it up and down until I got the thing to idle properly and run properly. There's no doubt in my mind the carb is set up improperly, maybe on a payday when I can afford it I'll have it set up 100% but for now, it works so I'm happy.

    That's all for now :)
