hi there guys, i bought a peugeot vivacity 50cc a couple of months back from a mate of mine spares or repairs, he claimed it needed new rollers and belt, however this is not the case... after inspecting the belt there's no teeth missing or hardly any wear at all, ive completely change the clutch (rear pulley), i bought a mallosi variator and put new rollers and sliders in so the whole transmission has been changed and its still only riding at 20-25 mph.... its making a terrible noise which make me think it might be some sort of bearing issue but this wouldn't make it go any slower, it should only make it noisy.... compression is fine, im getting a nice deep blue spark, it actually starts no problem at all but just wont ride properly... acceleration is slow? perhaps a carb problem? its completely standard apart from the variator ive just put in it... if i upload a video of it would somebody be able to help me please?

What weight rollers have you put in? And a video would be a good idea. :)

i put 8 grams in as the standard ones are 9 so i thought a little lighter might increase the acceleration... and ive taken the video but i can get it to work :/

bad mains would make it lose power, the crank seals could be blowing

Have you checked the gearbox oil, try running it with the centre stand down so the rear wheel is off the ground, possibly bearings in there could be noisy.
    Cheers

cheers rob, and scuba, but ive had it running with the belt off so i can tick that off the list but what you said about the main bearings could be right, but i havent played with the carb yet so it could be that... blocked jet or something? thanks for your replies guys, il let you know how its going.
