PEUGEOT VIVACITY HEADLIGHT KEEPS BLOWING

HI, RECENTLY I WASHED MY PEUGEOT VIVACITY MOPED AND EVER SINCE IT KEEPS BLOWING HEADLIGHT BULBS. IT STARTED OFF JUST DIMMING EVERY TIME I USED THE BRAKE BUT NOW EVERY TIME I USE TE BRAKE THE BULB JUST BLOWS, ANYONE KNOW WHAT THIS IS OR HAVE ANY ADVICE ON IT, URGENTLY NEED AN ANSWER AS THE MOPED IS REGULARLY USED, THANKYOU

 

re check the wiring to the lights and then check your battery connection and the fuses

 

whqat exactly do i need to check and for what, sorry i work on cars not bikes, the output voltages are different im guessing,.... also i have been told it could be the rectifier due to the headlight running off the engine, could this be correct or?

 

I had an issue with my Derbi GP1 where it kept blowing bulbs, turned out to be the rectifier on that.
