i cannot start bike either on electric or kick start, I have checked all the usual fuel, battery, spark plug but will not fire up. It only has 500 km on clock I have checked the carburettor and fuel does not seem to be getting through, spark plug is also dry and minimal spark when place on metal part to check spark. I'm wondering if this is a ignition problem as sometimes when I try to start and I pull brake lever the fuel gauge drops and I get nothing, but then I wiggle the ignition or sometimes the kill switch and it fuel gauge goes back up and it will try to fire up. It sounds very similar to when I have left side stand down by accident and it sounds normal but just won't start. There is no smell of fuel either so it is not flooding, Would an electrical problem stop the fuel going into carburettor or stop me being able to kick start any advise would really help

depends if its an efi or a carb .

electronic fuel injection runs via a controller and if the power supply is intermiten it will not run correctly

no it sounds like you ahve a loose connection either at the kill switch or at the ingnition, you will want to remove the paneling and check the connections to these two areas

if its a normal carb its possible the main/pilot jet has blocked up or the fuel filter so the carb will need to be removed and the main jet and pilot jet checked for blockages , the fuel filter is usually a clear one so it needs to be check to for gunk in it stopping fuel flow.

now if all work sout ok there is one more area its called a the vacuum line it creates a suction on teh fuel valve so fuel can flow to carb , if this pipe has come off or has a slight air leak it will not open the fuel tap enough to allow fuel to flow to carb

    hope that helps
