Peugeot Speedfire 1 and battery connection

Hi,

son just bought a Speedfire 1 scooter and removed the old battery to replace it with a new one, but he didn't pay attention to where the wires are going. Black and red are not a problem, but there is also a green one and the guy who sold the scooter says it should go to minus on the battery, but every documentation on battery connection I check, I see the third wire should go to a plus pole.

Can anybody with same scooter confirm that the third wire goes to a minus pole on the battery.
