Peugeot Speedfight 2 Value?.

Hi....

I have a 2005 Speedfight 2 50cc AC which I've just got as a non runner. It's a 1 elderly owner and has only 750 genuine miles from new. It's all original, Very clean, the panels are perfect and it's never been damaged. Also comes with original handbooks etc.

As it was stood for a very long time it needed fresh fuel and a carb clean and then ran perfectly. Sadly after around 10 miles it started to rattle and cut out. Engine gives good spark, good compression with fuel at the carbs but not to the barrel, plug is dry (jets are clean). Presume crank bearing and/or oil seals so I'm going to pass it on.

Would sooner ebay it as a classified ad rather than auction, so any thoughts on Value?.

As a non-runner, it's hard to judge. A really low mileage example such as this would fetch £7-800 or possibly more if it was running, as it is you may get more like £4-500, as the risk taken by the buyer is that the engine may need expensive mechanical repairs.

There are plenty of non-runners on the bay but most are your A-typical thrashed bashed and crashed examples, unlike this which is pretty much as new other than the engine fault. Hence I'm at a bit of a loss as to the value.

TBH I'd be happy with the lower of your estimates, so might give it a go at that.
