hi every one :) my name is darren and i am new to the forums.
i have a problem with a ludix blaster. its hard to start and when it does it runs for about 5-15 secs and then shuts down. the oil pump isnt working and i guess this is why the ecu cuts the engine.
i have tried the bleed procedure, oil lamp flashing ect, but the pump still dont work. checked voltage and its 12.25 at the oil pump plug. i have tried a test lamp across the oil pump plug 12v but it will not light the lamp. so i tried a low watt 1.2w bulb and this lit up and flashed while the ecu was in bleed mode.checked the wires from the ecu red/white and pink and there fine. is the dellorto ecu
goosed. please help this is doing my head in.

Why don't you run it on some 33:1 premixed while you test the pump more fully? If it's not working, the problem could be the signal wire from the stator to the ECU that tells it what RPM the engine is turning at, so that it controls the pump delivery rate. At least it won't cut out or seize up while you do your tests, unless the fault is electrical.

thanks for reply, i will check this but the scooter runs so i guess the signal wire from pickup coil is fine it just cuts out and wont idle

Could be a blocked idle jet, but let's see what comes from the mechanic taking a look.

Hi Darren, my ludix snake appears to be doing the same thing, what did the problem turn out to be with yours please? Cheers
