Hi my typhoon 50 only did 27 miles on a full tank wtf?! It was running out quickly before I had my parts fitted (exhaust, cylinder kit etc) but this is just a piss take.

It seems to be fine but then I turn it off leave it for a while and the fuel guage is in a completely differnt place. I have checked my ground for a leak the night after but theres nothing.

    Any Suggestions?

I'm running a 72 jet at the moment:

    53 standard
    +
    Pipe
    +
    Carb
= 72 jet (is this too high? seems to be running alright like this)

Now I need to add my polini air filter what should I go up to guys?

B.t.w the reason im running a 72 is because my bike was bogging out past half throttle with a 68 main jet. I have drilled a load of holes in my airbox though because it wasn't getting enough air but now it is since ive drilled the holes with the 72 jet.

if it dies out try lighter rollers first.

when you upjetted from 67 up to a 72. if the engine dies out try lighter rollers then check the plug if you think its right. start high and get it rollerd right then work the jet down till the plugs white at full throttle warm. then go up one or two. check the fuel tap isnt jammed open aswell as the fuel will run out the carb and evaporate befor morning. float might be wrong or the fuel tank could even have a shit fitting somwhere letting it all run out (125 typhs second tank bottom pipe fitting is the worst for this) ether way the recorded mialage is not right for the fuel so theres somthing wrong, or your speedo's wrong an your driving it further than you think (joking)

72 is usually fine for a filter. so making it rich has cured a roller problem and given you incredibly large ammounts of fuel usage. just try it

    try something between 4 - 4.5grams for a laser

the laser is an incredibly high revving pipe the revviest ive seen yet so for maximum performance you need a little lighter rollers, i prefer 4.1 grams rather than 3.4 or 4.9, but you do have a different motor and a different engine size,

4 grams would be worth a shot

Sure your fuel gauge just isnt a bit naff?

Check the tank next time. Gauges are crap.

I'm gonna get some 4g rollers tomorrow but I dont see how its going to make me use less petrol when my bike is running perfectly atm just using ALOT of petrol.

i hav the same prob on my stalker, it was a tiny leak just as it connects to the carb, not much came out so it didn't look as if it was leaking because it evapourated before it got to the floor.

I think with lighter rollers you may find it wont bog with a lower main jet, meaning at the mo your running to rich so look at your plug?

but if you go too light on the rollers you're gonna use more fuel, coz it will rev higher and so use more fuel.
