i was going to keep my aerox until i was 18 however i thought it would be a good idead to get a 125 and perhaps a geared 125 at that. i heard that aprilia rs125's are good and quite nippy? anyone know how fast they go with say a performance exhaust or light tuning? or are there automatic 125's that are equally as fast. i'm planning on getting a car at 18 so a geared ped would help me with things like clutch control etc. thanks for any contributions or ideas.

they do a true 95ish on the road in full power form (dyno can blow me as a ped can do 120 on a dyno) as for the clocks, expedentially wrong as always with low cc bikes. the vid is probably your avarage rs owner.. somone who bought it, has never ridden better so thinks its the be all and end all of performance. REALLY tempted by another nsr just to prove a point, its a point that would cost alot tho.

a bike will help with clutch control in a car? lol

why not start doing lessons and pass ya test? 1 hour lesson is £20 a week and once youve got your license, provided you dont get wrecked and crash into a police car you have your license for life (this is what im doing)

if youve got ya car license you can hop into a car when your 18 and away you go job done...

dont get an rs, just goes reeeee bang....

if you wanna move up a bit get a 4 stroke for reliable cruising and a clock speed of 60-70ish or an nsr which are a lot more hard wearing but will still show 100ish on a good day

dont get me wrong, i fookin love geard 2t's there just not practical. i for one dont mind rebuilding my engine monthly or throwing 3 times the value of a bike at it every yuear.. this isnt what people want from a bike where as this is exactly what i want. 2t geard bikes are for people looking for an excuse to sit in there shed an spend money. if your not willing to do this stick wiht a ped an grab a car.. can do ya bike test an get a nice reliable 4t 600... cost the same, use less fuel, go for miles and more to the point have 60mph more top end.

like i said do what you wish, an i recon your gonna get one regardless of what people say so im not gonna comment anymore. just rest assured ive had this convo MANY times with people, usually end up laughing at them followd by the sentance "told ya so"

one of my mates lives opposite a guy who sells/repairs/brakes rs50/125/250's locally well known. next time im down there ill get a pic of the rows of dead pistons he has in his garage, guarunteed to put you off an rs125 for life, they use rotax engines designed for 10-20 hours run in a go kart and then a rebuild :wtf:

no, they use a cheap assed rotax engine (may be a chinese copy made under copyright for all we know) made with so many lower spec parts its untrue.. worst powervalve sys known to man (fuck slide valves) and not to mention the actual cost of parts

yeah but the point im trying to make is the engines were designed for go kart racing, not long term road use.

And they recommend them rotax kart engines to be rebuild every 20/25 hours but they go when they go. my boss's lasted over 50 hours then blew. lol
