Is a performance CDI worth buying? If I did get one would it blow up my engine because of the revs being too high? My scooter is a Piaggio nrg mc3 2003. your cylinder wont rev any higher than it will rev.. unlimited cdi's are only any good on revvy cylinders... ive managed to run a c16 and ported airsal t6 on a stock cdi up to 13,000rpm (red 50, plug type) so no need... unlimited cdi's just have a spark advance/retard curve that will pull over these revs.. so basicly if your bike is stock a cdi will do fuck all!
