Pedal-bike speedo for moped?

Just wondering if a speedo from halfords would work with a moped. Anybody use one? The ones made for motorbikes are way too expensive.

So you need a new speedo because you've changed handle bars?

A push bike speedo wont work so well and probably wont pass mot. Because aftermarket motorcycle speedos like koso's and other brands probably the switches for your indicators, horn,lights, speedo cable etc where a bicycle speedo does not have all that gear.

 

How come you can pass a MOT with no speedo though?

 

isnt a legal requirement for a mot BUT it IS a legal requirement to ride on uk roads, so can pass an mot but cops could still ahve you
