Ped Parts. Has anyone on here ever had issues with this company? , I purchased a carb off them that was fitted by my local motorcycle shop but it was found to be faulty, I got another one from them with the promise that the refund for the faulty one would be sorted out within a couple of weeks.... well two months on and I'm still waiting, I've had various excuses about now one being there to process it or blaming my bank, Now they don't answer emails or hang up when I phone, This is know way to run a business and hang on to customers
sales of goods act covers you buddy . you will need to edit out some parts, like the return section as its already been done, send this letter to the company by recorded delivery, it gives them & days to make good or they are liable to be taken to small claims court to get the refund and may even have to pay the courts costs to. http://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/letter/letter-to-get-a-refund-if-your-item-is-faulty
I prefer to buy from companies the use Paypal but unfortunately Ped Parts don't, I have purchased from them before without issue but you only find out how good a business is when you have a problem, I read somewhere else that someone sent an exhaust back and didn't get a refund, They actually emailed me earlier to say they couldn't understand why I hadn't been refunded and it will be sorted out very soon, (maybe someone who works there caught site of this thread lol) They also tested the carb and said it was fine but my local and respected bike garage showed me there was a problem with it and the new on they sent was fine,
if they are saying its not faulty and you have a cert'd mech looked it over have the mech email them and state the problem with the carbs fault, then they cannot say anything. I would not bet that carbs been bagged back up reboxed and sent back out to some other customer still faulty. is pedparts have seen this thread , 2 months is a long time for a refund the max waiting time is around 3 weeks. amazon tried the same thing with me after i returned a £400+ 3D printer that started to print verticals walls that resembled the leaning tower of piza , told me it would be atleast a month before i was refunded, i kicked up a fuss stating i paid via card and it was taken from my bank there and then yet they would hold my money making interest and whatever for no reason, took 7hrs and i was fully refunded. They even refused to replace said printer under a warenty term to. just goes to show large companys think we consumers are dumb.
