u can get a decent enough base unit for 200 quid if u shop about

but like minor said dell's are good value for money and theres no need to blow 900 quid on a pc in this day and age about 5 years ago maybe but not now lol

That is quite expensive for that kind of system, it will play things like counter strike easily, but be careful because some people don't put windows xp on the computer so you have to pay extra for it.

I'd say look on ebay, you could pick up something like that computer you posted for much cheaper, but like i said look out for them not coming with an OS.

Alienware are a total rip off and they are not that good for the money (they do look the bollox though  )

Also they have a totally shit customer service if you want to send anything back, they don't even bother replacing anything and just send it back.

I would split the budget between a the base unit and a decent TFT. I would spend about 350-400 on a big TFT and the rest on building a base unit. 500-550 should build something fairly half assed. They are really easy to put together and get even easier once you have built your first one.

Wouldn't waste money on Alienware (who are actually owned by dell) you are just paying for the brand. Check Dell outlet for a cheap base unit if you can't be bothered to build one.

Because with some people its their pride and joy, like most of us care about how good our bikes look, it's something we are proud of.

    Best PC ever :msn1:

Just build your own PC, stuff can generaly only fit in one place, bloody easy to put one together.

Plus you get exactly what you want, and pay less for it. :)
