Ok now this is basically to show the process of how i am going to be spraying pannels. These are off my mates old bike and have been through a hell of a lot of shit paint jobs looks like 4 coats over the original which wernt even sanded down.
    This is the first process
    [IMG]
Now finished one of the pannels its ready for a sand down to smoothen it out and prepare it for the priming stage.
its now clear to see where the person who had the original panels binned it.

Ok now all pannels are stripped and sanded down. Tomorrow hopefully they will be primed and painted.

and a remind of what the first one i done came out like

    Re: Panel revamp

the "unofficial" yet actual story was much was suckin pm's cock on an advertising for parts deal for himself.. so subsequently fucked me off the site for warning people of shoddy products... only to be then told there website is shit, not busy enough and all knowledge of wich is denied by pm./.. altho this has been overly proven beyond doubt in another thread.... but ye, muck (mr i know fucking everything but am sick so cant do any of it) built his engine wrong, against good advice (he has given out himself) and fucked up, proving the FIRST time he ever tryd to do anything himself ended in desaster... out of work middle aged man, what more can i say?

but ye ANYWAY, i can see from the pic the diff... an i URGE you to get it ina VIDEO in the SUNLIGHT as the finnishj will be seen for what it is. for metalic its good m8.. waterbased?

Re: Panel revamp *ANOTHER UPDATE* PRIMING!

    Half the priming 'IZ DOON'
From the first coat of priming, its easy to see where the pannels have been dropped or original paint has come off. im going to do a few more coats and see if the primer evens out which is when it will be sanded and sprayed. If it doesnt even out im going to have to fill them and prime again. and just for confirmation the primer will be sanded down where the pannels are uneven so dont think its finished yet, its far from it.

And this is the gun i used

    Opinions appreciated. Thanks

looks like you'll be needing some stopper on some of those marks.

Do't you use isolatorbarcoat first as a precaution?

smart gun BTW. I've just bought a FLG05. Not in the same price range, but still gives good results :D

These set dont need to be anything special tbh they are just going on whilst mine are being done properly. Also the marks on the pannels wont show on the finished product i can assure you of that so dont worry ;). They have been sanded down with the primer evenly now.

If you want a decent spray gun your going to have to pay for other things to power it like a compressor which are very expensive to buy and run. The guns themself can cost and thing upto £400

Ah nice. Using a compressor is quite weird, I think I got the hang of it now. Let us know how you get on with the illuminous panel being painted. Old paint place said they needed to strip that certain paint otherwise it would react or something. Don't listen to it though, I think it's a load of crap.

    Good luck ;)

Re: Panel revamp *ANOTHER UPDATE* PRIMING!

Funny you say that, on one of the panels i primered, it reacted with something on the surface whether it was oil or grease i dont know but i didnt like it. Owel gave it a good old sand off and off we go again :)
A compressor is the best method in my opinion. and i will do.
