Painting inners

    Hi guys, im thinking about painting my plastic panels on my nrg e.g the footboard and the plastic around ignition and under seat, but im just afraid will it chip off ? and look tacky as, or is there anything i could do to stop it from flaking/chipping off

    make sure you use plastic primer ;) , plus if its the rough plastics, you could always use a a filler primer aswell and sand that back till its smooth, top coats, then laquer, shouldnt flake at all :pimp:

    Ok Cheers Di, Plastic primer is supposed to be white correct ? as bought 1 tin and shaked it obv then sprayed and it came out in a clear spray like laquer ? took it back they said this is right as has the code stamped on tin, yet got another one replaced it and is the same ?

    Dodgy batch maybe ? :confused:arc:

    no plastic primer is clear and filler primer is a white/baige colour i think but plastic primer is defo clear

    all the plastic primers i've used are grey or white.

    For mine I used a plastic primer and it was clear just like laquer, its just a base for the other paints to stick to ;) so don't worry about what colour it comes out like :p
