painting barrels

    i got a mate whom wants to paint his bore with stove enamel so it looks like a 125 barrel
    what he wants to know is does it make it run even hotter?

    not sure about stove paint but the matt vht that goes upto like a 1000 gegrees will wprth as it lets heat through .is his kit a standard 50 kit? im guessing there powder coated from standard .if its a standard 50 barrel it should already be painted if its liquid cooled

    its a 172 but if he gets a tugg by a rozzer that knows ally are over 125 then he furked striaght away he got some califire i gave him its a true 800 celcius paint they use on them wood burning stoves

    I ground all the malossi markings off my MHR-replica barrel and painted it black, for that stealth look....

    And the answer to your question is: no it didnt seem to run any hotter ;)

    Why didn't you just fit the barrel the other way round so the name didn't show?
