right then guys my ped is overheating on the digital display after about 2mins riding from cold. it is going to 110degrees which is the hottest it can be. but then about 2 miles later the temperature begins to fall and continues falling until about 90degrees which is about half way on my temperature gauge.

im thinking there is a problem with the water pump thermometer because the temperature is all over.

am i right or does anyone know what the problem is?

    cheers

First check you have water in the radiator system, fill/top up as required.

Secondly, your thermostat normally found at the top of the barrel where the hose joins, has probably seized, meaning you need a replacement.

Then your just gonna need to see if the water pump is actually pumping (feel hoses before and after engine, and near radiator inlet and outlet checking for heat).
