ok i'm turning to premix on my ice and was wondering what the best oil ratio was i'm running a standard cylinder with a zx exhaust and 21mm delorto carb with no filter (it fell off) so what ratio do you wreckon would be good and howmuch would be good to upjet? currently running a 90jet (sounds high but bike ran fine and did 50 allday long) ive been sujested to run 50:1 and im thinking a 92 mayby 95 mane jet?
Why on earth would you want to run it on pre-mix, as for running it with no filter get ready for an engine rebuild. cratch:
gilly whats wrong with pre mix lol? im goin to be running it on premix as ill be rebuilding the engine soon with some tuning parts and i dont want to rely on the pump, also the oil tank is in the way. i will be replacing the filter thanks minor, will i need to upjet it or will the jet i already have be ok?
Now't wrong with it mate, we run it all the time on the race bikes but it can be a pain in the arse on a road bike having to mix it on the forecourt etc....it will also have to be a high end engine to overcome the pump, if the tanks in the way fare do...ps: in the way of what. As for the jetting it depends on your engine specification .regards liam.
the tank is mounted in the frame on the ice and i want to run the loom and other cables through the frame which a cant with the oil tank in. i dont really trust the oil tanks as the 1st 70kit i had seize was apparantly because it wasnt getting enough oil from the pump
