hi everyone Just got my scooter up and running today, its had mhr rep cylinder kit, bgm crank including seals and bearings, 21mm delorto phbg carb, 21mm intake manifold, poloni evo read block and yasuni c16. After setting my carb up started the bike and it started great after a few kicks and pumps on the throttle. when i looked at the large oil tube that goes from my oil tank into the engine it doesn't look like any oil is going down the tube but the small tube that comes from the engine onto the carb looks full of oil. Could anyone tell me if this is ok or give any advise on how to fix this problem. thanks ash
will have to take a pic as we dont know what you concider to be "looking liek theyres nothing in it" it probabally full of oil there fore you wont see much movement. undo the bleed screw and see of any oil comes out.
usually its a phillips head with a fibre washer. just take the bolt out until oil comes out then replace.
if the oil pipe has been disconnected its best to run a bit of oil in with the petrol for the 1st tank of fuel...just incase like be a shame to score your MHR rep up if youve got air still in your oil line
thanks guys. Unfortunatly i tried to take the bleed screw out today but the damb thing was so tight just chewed up in end but i tryed taking the gold plate off the bottom of the oil pump to see if i could bleed it that way, oil came out and the large oil tube which comes from the tank which was full of air is now full of oil. Will this be ok or could there be air in the oil pump itself? and is there any way i can check that oil is being pumped into the fuel? currently i have oil pre mixed in just incase Thanks Ash
Ye this happen to me so i just ran it on premix for a month untill i could be botherd to investigate by then it sorted itself out which i had kinda worked out by the amount it was smoking in the morning, mixture of me over premixing and oil pump wound alll the way up made so much smoke the othewr lads at college could see on the way out of the bike bit. lmao
