yep i know, been covered on here before and i have seen the other threads but my question is why??
why does the oil have to be fully synth?? over the years i have ran all sorts of sccots, tuned and standard and even bikes on castrol scoot oil, this is semi-synth and has always been good. is this good enough??

They dont HAVE to be ran on fully synthetic. You can use any 2T oil providing its not outboard motor oil.. I wouldnt run it on chainsaw/strimmer stuff either.

People tend to run fully synthetic because its more advanced than ordinary oil, it lubercates the engine better, burns cleaner, leaves less deposits in the engine and exhaust, better protection at high rpm, better protection when hot.

Ideal for tuned 70's & 172's.. But will also work wonders for standard engines.

Ordinary 2T oil from the ground is brilliant for "breaking in" new engines, less protection so faster break in, then switch to synthetic.
