bikes been playing up recently and checked over and noticed that the oil cable nut and screw that sits in the engine casing, next to oil pump has completely sheared off and is flappin around and when throotle it it doesnt move at all. i know i need a new throttle assembly but what is the best way to get the sheared screw out or do i need new cases? cheers
That doesn't sound good. That would mean it was running without oil? Would be worth taking the head off and having a look if so. It's a bit hard to say what's the best way to remove it without seeing. New cases seem like a pretty drastic thing to do. You could always convert it to premix...
yeah it was but i have no idea how long for so will have a look at the barrel and head. i dont have pics of it but the screw itself is hollow and the cable runs through it and connects to the oil pump, well were the nut on the screw was tight the the cases on the outside, its snapped and the hollow peice of screw is stuck in the hole :banghead: thats the best i can describe it lol if theres no outcome then it will have to be premix lol no way am i payin for new cases
If its only thin hollow metal, cant you pull out the cable, Get a flat head screw driver and just hit it in with a hammer, then undo? surely cant be in that tight if the metal isnt solid.
