Some of you may remember ages ago ( febuary ) when i had the (cursed) rizla runner that now belongs to gazell i got pulled and had my bike taken off me
because i wasn't insured on that bike i was still insured on my old speedfight that i sold. when i tried to make the changes on my policy ( the company i was with is all internet based ) it didn't go through properly and i was unaware of this so i was paying for insurance but on the wrong bike!

anyway i've been to court once, it got adjourned or whatever so i could get evidence and proof that i made a genuine mistake and wasn't just being a twat riding with no insurance.

i've tried to contact the company, fucking useless.
tried to get bank statements from febuary, they said i'd have to wait a couple of weeks and there's a charge!
i got hold of the officer who stopped me, when he stopped me he phoned the company i was with and they told him over the phone what had happened, my changes to the policy where 'processed' but never went through so he got the jist of exactly what happened, anyway he said he's done his bit and can't do more, i was hoping for a statement off him on paper saying he phoned the company and i'm telling the truth, but for whatever reason he said he can't!

so now i'm stuck with old emails i have of payments and crap, the only emails i have that are of any use are from the day i got stopped and when i got home i sorted the insurance out so all i have is proof that i took insurance out but after my bike was taken, i think it'll help a little anyway,

basically i hope it gets adjourned again so i can get statements and shit because i don't deserve fucking points or a ban for a genuine mistake, if they give me more than a caution or small fine i wont't be happy.

anyone got any other idea's or what do you think i'm looking at getting :p

a ban, depending on how much of a twat the police officer was who pulled you,
Put it this way my brother got 8 points for riding my old scooter with no insurance, hes 1 off a ban. O_O.
I dont even want to imagine what happens when you get points on a provisional.
yes it was a genuine mistake but trust me the cunts will try and make out it wasnt. :msn1:

6 points License revoked, redo test including theory for re-issue of licenses

Another 6 in 2 years after retaking tests = 12 month ban.

    Unlucky.

all you can do is explain your situation and if shit comes to bust take your insurance company to court.

I am fully guilty of driving without insurance, but as you know it got adjourned for 'special needs' because of my circumstances, i'm still looking around to see if i can get anything else that can help me.

the bank statements would of helped alot, can't get those.

the policeman would of cleared me without a doubt, he won't do anything!

arrgh, i'll just hope for the best! :rtfm:

the bank canot legally charge you for past bank statements. i beleive it came into law about 18 months ago, also if you have internet banking you can get statements from that.

thats the conviction that ive got..my mate went down the road on my dna50 because he wanted to buy it..he got pulled and we had to go to court i got 6 points and a 40 quid fine for letting him ride with no insurance..the fucked me big time...stand your ground ben serious..you will get to explain yourself in court..and tell em how the copper spoke to the company etc and that he's not willing to make a statement at the end of the day why would you pay insurance on a bike you dont own...surely they will see its a mistake
