number plate holder

    i want to take my number plate holder off but it has self tapping screws how can i get the off ?

    Theres a tool for this. It looks a bit like a magic wand but has a cross or a line on one end. I didn't believe it either till i went to halfords o_O

    I tried that wand but couldnt get it to work as I forgot the spell :(

    It might have been a left hand one when you needed a right hand one.

    got it straight away...why dint I think of that. Makes sense now. I got it off ebay cheap. Theres loads of lefts as the right handed ones are very popular. Mummy warned me about buying cheap crap [​IMG]

    To me that dont even look like a screw but a rivet, use a drill to drill through the middle of it then it will just fall off if you havent got a drill improvise and use a scewdriver or something to get it off its easy to do as there made out of soft alloy

    yes def a rivit. If you can get access to a drill, it doesnt matter how big the bit is as long as it covers the rivet head. Slowly drill into the head til the head breaks away from the inner section at the rear. the plate should then be removable. Tap the remainder of the rivet through using a punch/drift
