As title states, I built it from ground up and got it running not long ago but it didn't have an exhaust so I left it alone until I had one. Finally put one on but now it won't start.

I'm not a mechanic but I've got a lot of common sense lol.

I'll list potential problems that I think may have caused it...

Auto choke plug didn't fit the loom so I cut both wires an connected them using tape.. I 'was' idling fine when it started without the exhaust.

The carb wasn't set correctly so I read a guide on here and tried to follow it.

Electric start doesn't work it just makes a whining sound.

Other than them things the spark plug is giving off a spark and is wet when I took it out. I think it has good compression as the kick start it hard and you can hear the pops from the exhaust when trying to kick start it. Battery is also charged.

Pleeeease help me.. I need to get it on the road to get to work in the mornings.

    Thanks in advance.

ps- I'm not one of these dumb youngsters and I know my way around the engine.

it is a fuel related prob so i would down jet as if it isnt working WITH the exhaust and popping soulds like it is over fueling

Not a deep popping sound, that only happens if I throttle while kick starting it.

It sounds like a healthy pop, like it wants to start but just doesn't tick over.

easy mistake mate, look at ped..parts *cough* guides on auto chokes, they need tobe connected to work, when you turn the bike on the auto choke starts to warm up and expand which turns the choke off, by cutting it you'r choke is 100% on. hope this helps!

The bike does idle when it starts.. I managed to get it started but I think its either running too rich or there's an air leak.

get you'r self a manual choke it'l do good. especially if you need a cold start, and the whining from you'r stanter motor, try cleaning the connection between you'r wires and battery, somtimes it gets enough to power speedo lights ect but the electric motor draws alot of power,
