Basically when I try use the electric start it just makes a whining noise.. I took the side casing off and could just see the tip of the starting motor spinning. Is it suppose to be connected to something because otherwise I don't see how it would even start the bike lol.

    Someone help me please!

There should be a starter bendix that goes between the motor and the variator edge

There'a a sort of shaft thing on the bigger part of it which slots in to a hole in the cases below the variator. I usually just wiggle it about a bit and they go in quite easily but you may have to remove the variator

Yeah wicked thanks mate, just fit it and I finally got an electric start! Just one more problem, there's air bubbles in the fuel line to the engine and fuel's not going through!

sounds like diaphragm in fuel tap under tank has gone
take off the vacum lead under tank and fuel lead
suck on vacum lead if fuel flows tap is good
if nothing comes out...then you found the problem (new tap/diaphragm needed)

When I said fuel line I meant the line from the carb to the oil pump

you mean the line fro the oil pump to carb (sending oil to carb)
so you have air bubbles in your oil line

ok what you want to do is first make sure you have oil in ya ped :)
    then take off tranny case
then undo oilpump bleed screw for say 5 secs (bleed air out of pump)
then tighten clean up oil thats spilt
    start bike
and watch if the air bubble moves
if it doesn't sounds like a broke pump
    try this first though

I thought that was petrol in that line.. Makes sense now, there's no air bubbles in that. Just not enough petrol getting in I don't think
