Hey, just bought a 2007 NRG Power DT, it came with the factory exhaust which is appalling to look at and is really restricting. i was looking at buying a Gianelli reverse as i have done a bit of research and they appear fairly good. i also heard that you have to do upjetting :confused:hock:? and change the rollers?!? Can anyone give me a bit of advice?

    Thanks x

any sports pipe that actually does something, will need upjetting and a drop in roller weight....more than likely stiffer clutch springs too....

The giannelli reverse is a good pipe, so is the Doppler S3R, and The laser x-pro :)

Ok thanks, now for the next question... what is upjetting?

replacing the main jet in the carb with one of a larger size, normally a good pipe will require a 5% larger jet.

Nope, you will have to buy a box of jets and roller weights then its a case of trial & error to set it up correctly.

You can't just bolt on performance parts and expect them to magically give extra power. Fitting a pipe changes the way your engine behaves, so the jetting and transmission needs setting up to suit.

if your just fitting a sports pipe, check what size your main jet is, then order a 5% bigger jet from any of the scooter tuning parts retailers ;)
