i brought an nrg power dd as spares and repairs, was told it had no spark. after changing the cdi, ht lead, spark plug cap and spark plug, i sorted the sparking problem... when trying to start the bike it would just miss fire so i took the top end off to check for any damage, i found that the piston and rings were knackered. I brought a new piston kit and fitted it. the problem is when i start the bike it stays at full revs... Ive checked my slide is sitting at the bottom of my carb, ive loosened off the throttle cable and made sure its sitting right in the bottom left of the tranny case. Ive also tried disconnecting and re-connecting the choke and cleaned the carb out and also ive checked the manifold for any splits. I start the bike with no throttle and it revs as high as it can so i cut it out straight away. I cant think what else it can be, i'm going to check the reeds when i can get some 'security torques'... any help will be much appreciated, thanks.
