Hi i have a nrg power 05 plate 70's polini kit it has a dellorto carb with a 120 main jet was riding eairler and the engine cuts out and will not start again, fuel flies out from where the airfilter there is also a rubber gasket where the throttle slide sits and screws in, that has split (quite a big split) is this the reason? maybe its sucking in air. HELP PLEASE!
its gonna be pulling in air there but that wont be why its just suddenly cut out and starting to spit fuel out the filter sounds like your float has somehow got stuck
has been running fine with that jet in seems to be getting too much fuel flooding the engine, when i leave the bike it for like 3 days then try and start it, its runs like a dream intil it warms up
sounds to me like the auto choke is sticking mate you can buy manuel choke conversions or replacement for quite cheap
have you tested it properly (connect it to bike battery to see if the pin moves up and down freely) if not id do that as it sounds like its not disengaging when the engine is getting warm
i dont think the choke is working, takes long to start and when it does it ticks over at about 900rpm on cold start
the same when its warm, and its got 18986 on the clock dont know when the 70's was installed speedo dont work
oh right i still think its the choke , when you remove the auto choke give the carb a good clean with carb cleaner as well (remove all the jets and clean the lot ) just to make sure mate
