Ok so i just fitted a doppler sports airfilter on my NRG and up-jetted to an 85. I just went to test it and when i start it up, instead of ticking-over, the revs shoot up to around 5-6k and it sounds like im giving it full throttle, if not louder. I thought the throttle might be stuck open but it dosent seem to try and pull away much. Any ideas what could cause this? Thanks, Lukash
idle mix needs adjusting, its the big screw on the side of the carb, turn it out for less revs and in for more
theres a little nut on ya carb m8 have you adjusted that in any way .its where ya throttle cable enters the carb or ya throttle cable might night be lined up right around that same area if summinks pullin it then it revs .might be wrong but thats what it was when it happened ta me good luck nibbles
ah right, my mate helped me change the main jet and he started taking the wrong screw out so that could have messed the idle. Ill try to fix it tomorrow, thanks!
if it aint any of the above, try takin the float bowl off an checkin the jet etc, an check ur manifold for splits. was the carb in properly? if it aint sittin right in the manifold an lettin in air, it could cause wot trouble ur havin
Ok, I fitted a new spark plug today hoping it would start up after that but it still dosent. And now it makes a horrible noise when i try to start it (electric start) :msn1: Any ideas what could be wrong?
