hi can anyone tell me what the standard jet should be in the carb a dellorto on mine as the scoot is ticking over ok but any revs to pull away it just bogs down and backfires think it running to rich ??? but not sure what has been down to it so any help would be very helpfull cheers
whipping the spark plug out and checking its colour/state will tell alot about whether its running rich/lean
put in new spark plug because old one just would not start it so its still newish looking and thought it would take awhile to show signs on it any idea of the size jet a nrg mc3 carb would be as think it may have been up jetted and that could be the problem it has a vince exhaust on it thx
if it has a vince exhaust, it should have been upjetted accordingly, sorry ive no idea what from or to. my power did had a vince exhaust and has been jetted according, but is back on a standard exhaust, but with same jets. it runs rich but runs fine
it has a 65 jet in at the mo but not sure if its right or not need to find out what the standard size in a dellorto carb is but no luck finding out
A small search in this forum has found that it seems to be a 66, check http://www.scootershack.co.uk/threads/nrg-mc3-jet-size-and-mm.26245/
so looks like i mite need a 71-73 main jet in there many thx for pointing that thread out L vince exhaust on mine so think it needs up jetting a bit
