It does pick up a lot of speed when it is on a straight gradual build up on revs not nippy I think it is the carb that needs upjetting or wuld it be the timing?
mhr 70s kit doppler crank dellorto 21mm just put 72 jet in probs go to 74 all malossi transmission light rollers everything in engine has been replaced with sports parts pm 360 exhaust (just looks absolutely terrible)
sounds to me the contra spring in the clutch or the clutch springs are to heavy try some lower rpm ones , if it was a timing or carb issue the bike would not idle properlly and would miss fire , / bog out under load
I assume you're using the stock airbox. If you want to get the most out of your kit I would remove the snorkel (just leaving the hole for an inlet) and Upjet to 120 - then go lower by fives, then two's to find the right setup. It sounds like you're a bit poor - and you need more of everything with a 70 kit. Just putting a bigger carb will not increase the total volume of fuel/air mixture. The airbox is restricting you. I would suggest that you need to modify the air intake so you can work down to about a 90 jet. Anything less ain't enough to work properly. And if you can afford the petrol - 110 - 120 is ideal. And then you will need to review the transmission - as Steeve aerox says. Lighter rollers or stiffer spring & some juggling. But you must start rich & work down - not the other way around if you increase the air intake. With jets - start big & work down. Good luck -
