It was the same on my old engine. They just never run right. Could it be my carb is dodgy? I've tried jetting, mixture screws etc should my float just dangle when i remove the float bowl? Sometimes fuel drips out from where its held on cheers
What does it run like ? yes the float should dangle, you say fuel leaks if it's from where the bowl and the carb join make sure the rubber gasket is there and clean it. If its leaking from the bottom pipe (overflow) your float hight is too high and this will cause the bike to not run good at all anywhere under half throttle and stil will not run right above half throttle.
