nrg/ice mudguard bracket on 125 with standard airbox?

i got hold of an nrg/ice rear mudguard bracket to mount my number plate on,
i havent had a propa look or tried but it dosent look like its gonna fit with my standard sr 125 airbox,
has anyone had any luck modding the airbox/bracket to make it fit as i dont want to run an open filter during winter,

 

why not bolt the number plate onto the back of the air box :glare:

 

ive already got my l plate on the airbox lol,
