NRG DT50 - Tuning

    Hiya i own a nrg dt 50 i am looking into buying the following performance parts:

    Malossi mhr rep 70cc kit
    Malossi mhr 19mm carb
    leo vince zx exhaust

    Will the exhaust work well with these parts?
    Is this carb the correct size for max perforance? or should i get a 21mm carb?
    i am looking to get the most performance out of my scooter rather than reliability.

    could you please advise any other parts or changes to my current list?

    go 21mm and forget the zx, laser or yasuni c/city 16 are your best bet, slightly more money but better pipes

    Any reccomendations on a carb make? what would you personaly reccomend out of the yasuni and the laser?

    dellorto for the carb as they are all basically the same mate

    and i would say that the c16 is the best out of the two for that setup but also the more expencive i believe ;)

    Will the c16 come with the correct clutch springs and rollers for my setup? or will i have to experiment with different weights?

    i dunno to be honest mate i have never bought one my self, but usually you would have to experiment anyway even if they are included as they are usually wrong

    What jet size should i use for the carb?
    What would you reccomend i buy after this?

    ideally you want:

    C16 (or city 16)
    mhr rep bore
    21mm del carb
    variator (multivar or polini)
    kevlar belt
    a set of harder clutch springs or a complete clutch (polini would be my preference)
    possibly a gear-up depending on your type of riding
    carbon reeds or an uprated reedblock

    you will need to have a play with jets to get the correct one as with rollers.

    Gearup, vario, reedblock etc and maybe unlimited CDI?

    Is the bike fully derestrcited mate?

    The washer in the variator has been removed and the previous owner has fitted a leo vince TT exhaust. are there any other restrictions beside these?

    First i will be buying the big bore, exhaust and carb, then i will work my way down your list :D could you reccomend a few jet sizes to try? Which item should i buy next out of the ones youve listed?

    yeh i would get one of just opening the standard one up.

    Check the inlet manifold, if it has a small opening then that is restricted.

    Also in the carb mouth where the airbox joins, theres a little gold plate

    the gold plate isnt a restriction. its a calibiration plate

    Do i need to match my intake manifold up to my reed block it looks like there is different sizes?

    Yeah but your better of buying a new unrestricted one

    I'm guessing your carb is a dellorto 17.5mm so standard jet would be 56

    Buy a stage6 jet box which comes with 10 jets ;)
