Hi folks its seems that its time for more speed in my work ped, nrg as its 28mph is shite so was wondering how to go about it been on search function no real ideas is just variator? Or cdi as @ th mo am a little stuck! ain,t going back the dealer as there muppets Oh i am 35 and have full licence before someone states the illegal card  . Thanks in advance guys :good:
restriction in the variator (a washer between the belt and variator) and the exhaust has a pipe coming off it that needs to be cut up and welded over or you can just buy an aftermarket exhaust its pretty easy to do if you have the variator locking tool which you can get on most shops online for under a 10er
Thanks for that will get straight on it suppose i can just mod std pipe? As don,t really want a full race pipe on this one. Variator bush is easy bit should give me a little more pep cheers for the info. :good:
all the new pipes are the worst ever.. terible things you can do fuck all with.. honestly look about for a cheapo pipe. will go a long way, then look at a 70 kit as the stock cylinder is such a peice of shit
what is the difference between a aftermarket pipe and normal or whatever it is? like I go on ped adrenaline stop and it has aftermarket exhausts are they worth buying
adrenaline pedstop is swearing round here....overpriced with shitty service.. but ye, 2 stroke engines perform basicly on the cylinder and exhaust timings (dimnentions there made to give the engine caracteristics) the stock pipe is made to makle little power at low rpm's.. aftermarket pipes are made to get the best from your engine. the choice is dependant on what cylinder you are running as obviously a high end pipe will strain a standard cylinder and basicly produce no power at unatainable rpm's (aint gonna work) the correct selected pipe for your cylinder will make more power at higher rpm's and hopefully over a wider range (more power at the revs you use at full throttle basicly) stock engine's respond well to pipes made for iron/sport 70 kits (long lasting less powerfull kits) as the timings are similar but the cc is obviously increased and the head/piston are better blah blah.. afterall sport kits are simply better STOCK replacment, there made to do the same job but better. hence its just a big bore kit. mid race/race kits are much more fun but have much harsher charicteristics meaning there not as good for riding on the road and they wear quickly if you do use them on the road/in traffic.. these require harsher pipes obviously to even run the pipe is obviously the main thing giving your engine its charicteristics. the transmission will need setting up to give the best torque at any given rpm aswell as the correct rpm at whatever throttle position... the carburettor will need the jetting changed to acomidate the differences in pressures now inside the carb at different throttle positions as more/less pressure mean's more or less fuel through the same jet. but ye.. plenty to read up on setup pipes and cylinders.
